Training renewal planning: practical planning
Decide which roles need each training topic and why. Set a refresher interval based on your approved policy, course requirements and relevant advice, rather than assuming every course expires after a year.
Agree what the reminder should do
Decide who receives the reminder, when it is sent and what action it requests. Learners may need a course link; managers may need a clear view of what is due.
Keep records meaningful
Use completion dates and certificates alongside other relevant records. A completed online course does not replace a practical competency check or role-specific authorisation.
Review the workflow
Review whether staff know what learning is due and who can help them. Keep team changes and refresher needs up to date. Email learn@careenable.online to discuss training renewal support.
