What has changed
The NDIA’s current pricing page identifies 2026–27 pricing schedules effective from 24 September 2026. The schedules set maximum prices for supports for NDIA-managed and plan-managed participants, including a separate SDA schedule. This is a current update, not a claim that every provider should charge the maximum price.

Start with the official schedule
Locate the support items your business actually delivers and check the current document before updating an internal rate table. Assign one person to manage the approved pricing reference. Keep older versions out of the everyday billing workflow so staff do not accidentally rely on a saved spreadsheet from a previous year.
Connect billing with service delivery
A correct rate is only part of a reliable claim. Your team also needs an agreed way to record what was delivered, when it occurred and who reviews the information. Test a few realistic examples across rostering, service records and invoicing, then identify where a worker or administrator needs clearer instructions.
Turn the change into useful training
A short internal lesson can show staff where the approved schedule is stored, how they raise a pricing question and who can authorise a change. Use fictional examples rather than identifiable participant records. Care Enable Training can help design this provider-specific learning; pricing decisions remain with your business.
A sensible next step
Review one frequently used support item from start to finish. Check the source document, your internal reference and the information staff enter. Record any gaps and allocate a person to resolve them before expanding the exercise to other items.
NDIS pricing update: a practical team exercise
Review one support item
Select a fictional or appropriately de-identified service example. Compare the current official pricing reference, the internal rate table and the information that reaches the invoice. Identify who can resolve a mismatch and record how the correction reaches the staff using the system.
Review these questions
- Which source is approved?
- Who can change a rate?
- How is an unanswered question handed over?
Agree one improvement, nominate the person responsible and choose when to review it. Keep the exercise separate from decisions requiring specialist advice or role-specific authorisation.
