Where the review stands
The Commission’s reform page describes an ongoing Practice Standards review and consideration of consultation feedback. It separately describes the SIL standards already introduced. A review process should not be presented as if every proposed change has become a current requirement.

Create one place for verified updates
Nominate an owner for monitoring official announcements. Record the source, publication or effective date, the affected service area and the next action. This keeps a forwarded headline from becoming an unofficial instruction that different staff interpret differently.
Prepare before making changes
You can review gaps and prepare draft learning before a change is final. Label drafts clearly and keep approved policies in use until your leadership has confirmed the applicable requirements. Where a change is already effective, prioritise it separately from longer-term planning.
Update the relevant learning
Once your provider approves a policy change, identify which lessons, examples and acknowledgements it affects. Update related references together, rather than adding a new slide while leaving an old quiz answer in place.
Tell staff what they need to do
A useful update message explains what changed, who it affects and where to find the approved information. Care Enable can help turn that message into focused learning with a clear review process, instead of another document that staff are expected to interpret on their own.
NDIS Practice Standards review: a practical team exercise
Sort an update into stages
Give the team a current requirement, a consultation item and a draft internal change. Ask them to label each correctly and decide what staff need to do now, what needs review and what should wait for approval.
Review these questions
- Is the source official?
- Is there an effective date?
- Who approves the policy and learning changes?
Agree one improvement, nominate the person responsible and choose when to review it. Keep the exercise separate from decisions requiring specialist advice or role-specific authorisation.
Find learning for your care team
